Farmed Estate Maintenance Manager (Staff Officer)

DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)

SALARY: £30,149- £31,760

LOCATION: AFBI Hillsborough, Co. Down BT26 6DR

This is an important role responsible for the day to day maintenance management of the AFBI Farmed Estate, primarily at AFBI-Hillsborough, a 300 hectare livestock farm comprising cattle (beef and dairy), sheep and pigs.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the AFBI Farmed Estate Maintenance contracts and contractors related to buildings maintenance, electrical maintenance and mechanical maintenance. In conjunction with the AFBI-Hillsborough Farm Management and Premises Team you will also be responsible for the management of major and minor works, statutory health & safety maintenance, fleet management, site security, fuel and utility management and general site management.

This is a key and exciting role within the AFBI Estate providing the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to work within an innovative and forward thinking institution.
