Pig Research Scientist - Senior Scientific Officer

DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)

SALARY: £36,448 - £40,072

LOCATION: AFBI Hillsborough, Co. Down, BT26 6DR

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an innovative Research Scientist to lead pig systems research at AFBI Hillsborough.  You will identify, develop and lead key research areas which addresses pig production through the adoption of advanced methodologies and experimental techniques.  Being a specialist on sustainable pig production you will provide expert advice to relevant stakeholders and the scientific community which will assist in future policy and strategy development related to pig production.

Further appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
