Second Legislative Counsel – Grade 3

DEPARTMENT: Office of the Legislative Counsel, The Executive Office (TEO)

SALARY: £89,482 - £102,103 plus recruitment and retention allowance

LOCATION: Parliament Buildings, Stormont Estate, Belfast

Second Legislative Counsel is one of the most senior posts in the devolved administration of Northern Ireland.  The main purpose of the role is to draft primary legislation for Northern Ireland.  The post holder will be expected to undertake the most demanding legislative projects in a fast paced political environment and contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the Office, the Executive Office and the Northern Ireland Civil Service. 

This post may be filled by secondment of the successful candidate from his/her current employer.

Further appointments may be made from this competition should NICS positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
