Principal Scientific Officer (PSO) - Head of Monogastric Research

SALARY: £48,829 - £53,518 (under review)

LOCATION: AFBI Hillsborough, Large Park, Hillsborough, Co. Down, BT26 6DR

AFBI invites applications from enthusiastic, internationally recognised individuals to lead their monogastric research programme.  The main focus of the role will be to develop and deliver on an applied research programme in collaboration with industry, NGO’s and government to advance state of the art science in the area of monogastric production and provide solutions to the local, national and international pig and poultry industries to support their sustainable prosperity.  The post is supported by a team of post doctoral scientists and highly skilled technicians as well as instrumented pig and poultry research facilities.  Many opportunities exist for delivering a multi- disciplinary research programme using AFBI’s range of capabilities and external linkages.
