The Office of the Discretionary Support Commissioner is a body which has been established to provide an independent review facility of decisions made in respect of applications for Discretionary Support. The Discretionary Support Commissioner is an independent, statutory office holder appointed by the Department for Communities (DfC). 

DfC is seeking to appoint the Discretionary Support Commissioner.

CAN YOU HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO PEOPLE IN A CRISIS ACROSS NORTHERN IRELAND

This is a part time appointment, with a commitment of 1 day per week.  The term of appointment will be for a period of 3 years, starting on the date of appointment.

The remuneration for the Commissioner will be £16,554 per annum. The post is non-pensionable. Reasonable expenses incurred will be paid at Northern Ireland Civil Service rates.
