Veterinary Research Officer - Disease Surveillance/Investigation

DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)

SALARY: £47,749 - £52,334

LOCATION: AFBI Stormont, Belfast

This post offers an excellent opportunity to join our team of vets and scientists delivering effective and efficient animal disease surveillance and diagnostic services in Northern Ireland. The successful applicant will require demonstrable experience and understanding of farm animal production, herd health management and population management. A relevant specialist qualification is desirable. It is anticipated that the majority of the work will be clinical pathology based with a substantial element relating to the development and delivery of herd health programmes and associated research initiatives.
