FAO Line Managers - Temporary Amendment to Pre-Placement checks for New Entrants to the NICS

Due to the current COVID restrictions HRConnect is unable to verify candidate's identification documents in person to facilitate pre-placement checks for external competitions. Therefore, as a temporary measure the candidate's new Line Manager is required to verify these documents on the candidate's first day and confirm they have done so when returning the New Post Holder form to HRConnect. The candidate's Offer Letter and the New Post Holder form both make reference to what is required.
This is a temporary solution to ensure that placements can continue despite the current restrictions. We intend to return to the standard process as soon as the restrictions are eased.
